La Ferme du Bois

La Ferme du Bois is one of the oldest farmhouses in Chamonix and also one of the valley's most stunning properties. It is situated in the picturesque village of Les Bois - a very sought after area in Chamonix.

Major refurbishment of all bathrooms and bedrooms to a very high standard are currently being done, mixing rustic style with modern details. This will be completed during late autumn and ready well in time for this Christmas 2008.

The chalet will also be equipped with modern facilities such as outdoor hot tub, flat-screen TVs, TV games etc.

Layout

There are 4 bedrooms on the ground level;

The master suite is approximately 18m2 and has a bathroom ensuite and a very spacious feel. The slightly smaller master suite is approximately 15m2 and has access out to the back garden. Next to this bedroom is a smaller double room and these two bedrooms share a shower room with WC. The 4th bedroom is rustic and has an ensuite bathroom and windows out to the back garden.

All the bedrooms have a very rustic, warm and antique feel with comfortable beds, which can all be either twins or doubles.

Upstairs is the dining room with seating for up to 12 people. This space is decorated with antique furniture and historic details in every corner. The kitchen is separate and has all necessary facilities.

Half a step up from the dining area is the vast and beautiful living room with high-beamed ceiling, panoramic windows and a huge granite fireplace. There is also a small study and library on a separate level and this spacious living area is very special, cozy and authentic!

Next to the living room is the 5th bedroom with its bathroom ensuite.

Also accessed from the living area is the sun terrace with views of both Le Dru and the Mont Blanc massif. Next to the terrace is the outdoor hot tub.




Location

The village of Les Bois offers fantastic walking paths. It is next to the cross-country tracks and renowned restaurants such as Le Sarpe, Hotel Eden and La Cabane are within walking distance.

Both trains and buses stop in the village of Les Praz, which is a beautiful 10-minute walk from the chalet through the village. The ski area of Flegere is only a short drive or a 15-minute walk. Chamonix centre is only 5 minutes by car.
