WHO ARE WE?
Hip Chalets is a company dedicated to providing ski holidays with a stylish twist combined with a standard of service for even the most discerning of customers.
We operate in the Chamonix valley (Mont Blanc) and we also promote the very best properties in Davos and Verbier (Switzerland). With 22 years of experience in the Alps, we have all the inside information to make our guests' stay even more special.
We also operate in Ibiza during the summer as Hip Holidays Ibiza.
Hip Chalets Ltd. is run by renowned artist and designer Jamie Strachan – formerly British no1 free ride skier and his fiancé and former Swedish rock-climbing champion, Julia Bergklint.
Since the company started in November 2006, Hip Chalets has catered for thousands of guests in their boutique styled chalets and establishments. Our focus is delivering the ultimate alpine experience in chalets that provide something extra special for hip alpine adventurers.
Our outstanding concierge service will help you find the best mountain guides, ski instructors, nannies, VIP tables and restaurant bookings, as well as night-time ski-doo excursions, Huski sledging, Heli skiing, Spa trips and much, much more.
Families
We have allot of experience in accommodating families and we have children ourselves so we have an understanding of what parents might expect from their ski holiday; it should enable time to spend together as a family but also sometimes for the parents to feel comfortable with leaving their children for a few hours to get some down-time. Our staff are always expected to be familiar with children and we always do our absolute best to make special arrangements with kids' high-tea, Santa visits for Christmas, pizza making and much more.
What makes a 'hip' chalet?
We don’t settle for anything that lacks the characteristics of a hip chalet. Old or new, our chalets must pass the test!
When a client steps through the door to one of our chalets for the first time, they need to feel an instant warmth and connection to the space in the same way that we do. We really know what our discerning clients are looking for.
We both have traveled to the four corners of the earth with our skis. We have skied in some of the most exotic locations imaginable, from the north island of Hokido in Japan to heli skiing in New Zealand and even first descents in Alaska.
But we haven’t found anywhere on the planet that can match the diversity and richness of the European Alps, so we look forward to sharing the secrets and joys of these enchanting and inspiring valleys together with you!
