RAFTING, CANYONING & HYDROSPEED

After the winter when temperatures start to rise, the water levels become higher, bringing with it awesome rapids to ride!

Waters sports include canyoning, which is not for the faint-hearted and involves climbing, diving, absailing and swimming in water with strong currents.

Hydro speeding is something that has been recently introduced and is fast becoming a popular way to ride the rapids of the rivers! Using a large body-board as float, you hold on for dear life and hurtle down the rapids!

Rafting on the river Arve is equally as adrenaline-pumping, and is a fantastic way to explore Chamonix from the water as the river crosses the town centre!

HORSE RIDING

One of the best ways to discover the Chamonix valley is on horseback.

For novices or confident riders there is something for everyone.
There are numerous riding centers in the valley. The Mont Blanc horse center runs all year round and you can trek on horseback for half a day, full day or for several days! Other lovely places to ride, especially for children is at Paradis des Praz.
