Chamonix boasts a large Nordic skiing area of around 20 km marked out classic and skating tracks.

 

You can either buy a pass at the ‘Foyer de ski de fond’ and rent some equipment from Intersport rent (just in front of the foyer de ski de fond) and try it out for yourself, or book a private instructor to help you practise your Nordic skiing technique or enjoy a family outing and try the biathlon circuit.

Note: There are Nordic ski trails in Argentière and Les Houches as well as Chamonix.

This mix of skiing and equestrianism is perfect for nature lovers.
Ski Joëring can be practiced by anyone who loves skiing and horses. Whether the horse be at a gentle stroll or at a thrilling gallop, this is a sport that both the young and old can enjoy.
The horse wears a harness with rectangular flap for the skier to hold. The skier then is pulled by the strength of the horse giving a sensation similar to a drag lift but much more rewarding.

A mountain roller coaster for the whole family!

The Luge Alpine Coaster is a fun and thrilling attraction.

A 1,300-metre-long track with jumps, turns and 540° spins for some real adrenaline-fuelled fun! Open all year round, the Luge Alpine Coaster is located in the Les Planards ski area and is the star attraction at the Chamonix amusement park, right next to the slopes.
