Take to the valley trails on these specially modified all terrain mountain FATBIKES, equipped with large wheels and fat tyres, allowing you to grip on all trail surfaces from muddy and rocky ground to ice and snow. Price includes private guide, fat bike and helmet rental.

Learn how to drive your own team of huskies! You'll be introduced to the dogs and shown how to control the sledge before hitching up and setting off around tranquil alpine paths.

Chamonix boasts a large Nordic skiing area of around 20 km marked out classic and skating tracks.


You can either buy a pass at the ‘Foyer de ski de fond’ and rent some equipment from Intersport rent (just in front of the foyer de ski de fond) and try it out for yourself, or book a private instructor to help you practise your Nordic skiing technique or enjoy a family outing and try the biathlon circuit.

Note: There are Nordic ski trails in Argentière and Les Houches as well as Chamonix.

The Chamonix valley and Mont Blanc Massif are excellent for ski touring. This is a wonderful way to access nature as it was intended to be seen.

The Mont Blanc Massif is a vast area of spectacular, glaciated mountains and varied terrain for all levels.

With the necessary equipment, a mountain guides and a bit of effort, riders will be able to escape the crowds on the slopes and find fantastic skiing in a stunning setting.

This mix of skiing and equestrianism is perfect for nature lovers.
Ski Joëring can be practiced by anyone who loves skiing and horses. Whether the horse be at a gentle stroll or at a thrilling gallop, this is a sport that both the young and old can enjoy.
The horse wears a harness with rectangular flap for the skier to hold. The skier then is pulled by the strength of the horse giving a sensation similar to a drag lift but much more rewarding.

Rediscover your childhood thrills by hurtling down a ski slope using a Paret, once the ski area has closed !

Paret is an old wooden sled with just one runner - a hilarious experienc for the whole family!

Within easy walking distance of the town centre, the Richard Bozon Sports Centre includes an indoor Olympic sized rink and an outdoor rink open for the winter season.

You can come along and enjoy an ice skate or support Chamonix's local team the Pioneers when they play home matches.

Winter Hike

A mountain roller coaster for the whole family!

The Luge Alpine Coaster is a fun and thrilling attraction.

A 1,300-metre-long track with jumps, turns and 540° spins for some real adrenaline-fuelled fun! Open all year round, the Luge Alpine Coaster is located in the Les Planards ski area and is the star attraction at the Chamonix amusement park, right next to the slopes.
