RESTAURANT GUIDE
LA CABANE DES PRAZ
This impressive log-cabin restaurant is a big favourite with the Hip Chalets’ guests.
A typical, romantic setting with stylish decor and very cosy feel - perfect both lunch time and for dinner.
The food is classic - typical French, with a lovely mix of traditional dishes, fish and lighter options.
We typically love the large sun terrace, which is always beautifully arranged for guests to enjoy a wonderful lunch in the sun whilst taking in the fabulous views of the golf course and Mont Blanc panorama.
COMPTOIR NORDIQUE
Le Comptoir Nordique is a gourmet restaurant, offering a healthy and natural Scandinavian cuisine - all in a very smart and contemporary setting.
Enjoy salmon, trout, haddock, and other kinds of high quality smoked fish, all beatifully prepared and presented.
Sample vegetables and traditional Nordic dishes, both sweet and savoury. And as an accompaniment, why not have some Voss mineral water, Skøll beer, or Absolut vodka?
L'IMPOSSIBLE
"Love for the kitchen and good products, the pleasure to meet and and surprise our guests" - these are
Donatella and Auro's welcoming words as they greet you in their old farmhouse-chalet, dating from 1754.
Meat, fish, vegetarian dishes- all slow-cooked in a typical Italian way, accompanied by a glass of wine from the sumptuous cellar with more than 300 labels.
LA MAISON CARRIER
If you are looking for one of the most historical restaurants in Chamonix - then La Maison Carrier is a must. A traditional restaurant in the setting of a reconstructed Savoyard farm, it pays tribute to Marcel Carrier’s recipes, to local producers and heritage.
Located next to Albert 1er, the old farmhouse offers an authentically alpine cuisine, developed with finesse and creativity.
We especially love the sumptuous carousel of desserts on the antique furniture in the centre of the restaurant, which should not be missed year round!
MUNCHIE
This buzzing and cool Swedish restaurant is still holding the flag as one of the best places in Chamonix.
Offering pioneering cross-over food with fantastic colours and tastes, with a relaxed and professional Swedish service, fun atmosphere and great location right on Rue du Moulin in the very heart of Chamonix centre,
Munchies gets very quickly booked up so don’t leave it too late! Even the prince of Sweden was once turned away as he didn't have a reservation…
MOO
Moo bar is another Swedish gem, located on the road up to the train station and run by a bunch of fantastic Swedish professionals and veterans in the restaurant industry.
Moo is a great option for apres ski, lunch on bad weather days, or dinner - serving menu which could be seen in a gastro pub in Paris or London - with a Scandi-touch of course!
L'ATMOSPHERE
Perched on the edge of the river Arve in the centre of Chamonix town, L’Atmosphere has a wide variety of European dishes to suit your taste, enjoyed in cosy and contemporary surroundings.
To sit on the covered terrace land look onto Mont Blanc, while the river runs below is particularly special. The restaurant’s huge popularity speaks for itself, always boasting great reviews.
LA CALECHE
This restaurant truly is a feast for both the eyes and the palette - dressed with a thousand artefacts from a bygone era with a menu offering authentic “Chamoniard” cuisine. It is an alpine haven full with wooden sleds, charming knickknacks and endless fascination.
La Caleche has a local and rustic feel, ideal for a family meal out, with plenty of traditional French comfort food to satisfy hungry stomachs after a hard day on the mountain! We would particularly recommend their famed triple cheese fondue!

BIZE
Owned and run by another colourful Chamonix-based Swede, this buzzing and cosy restaurant is a great option if you are looking for hearty cross-over food.
Using a specific slow-cooking Josper oven, Susanna and her chefs produce the most sublime meat, fish and veg.
Fun atmosphere and friendly staff, Bizes is a must to visit during your Chamonix holiday!
Vegan and vegetarian options available.
CASA VALERIO
This is “the” pizza restaurant in town!
Valerio and his family have been running this busy restaurant on the back streets of Chamonix town since we can remember, and it’s always a safe and wonderful choice if you feel like a super tasty pizza and fabulous wine!
We love a relaxed dinner by the bar, but for larger groups it’s aways necessary to reserve a table.
ALBERT 1ER
If you are searching for a truly exquisite gastronomic experience, dining in Pierre Maillet’s two Michelin star restaurant will take you on an epicurean journey of discovery and expression in taste.
For five generations they have been delivering a combination of fine alpine produce and delicate treasures in the heart of Chamonix. The setting is of relaxed modern elegance with floor to ceiling windows, where charming staff will welcome you and offer flawless service.
TERMINAL NEIGE
The on-site restaurant of the top of the Montenvers Train Station, Restaurant Le Montenvers, features French regional cuisine. A few metres away, guests can also enjoy a drink at Le Bar des Glaciers or a lunch at Le Panoramique restaurant which features a panoramic terrace with views of the Mer de Glace.
